Magnolia adds WebSphere compatibility with the latest release of its JSR-170-powered open-source Enterprise Content Management System (ECM). Magnolia is an easy-to-use and standards-based alternative to IBM's native content management solutions.

Magnolia International Ltd. adds WebSphere compatibility with version 3.0.2 of its JSR-170-powered open-source Enterprise Content Management System (ECM).

Magnolia 3.0.2 introduces WebSphere compatibility for the Magnolia Enterprise Edition. The WebSphere application server is part of the strategic infrastructure of many enterprises. With Magnolia, an easy-to-use, powerful, modern, standards-based content management system (CMS) is finally available for the WebSphere platform. Magnolia is based on the Java Content Repository specification (JSR-170), which is officially backed by IBM. This makes Magnolia a natural choice for WebSphere clients looking for alternatives to IBM's native CMS solutions.

Magnolia is commonly used to manage web content on corporate intranets, extranets or web sites. It includes a light-weight document management system (DMS) that supports the Dublin Core metadata standard. Custom meta-data definitions can be configured without programming, which makes the DMS very flexible.

Magnolia 3.0.2 fixes a number of issues and introduces several improvements. It is a recommended update for all Magnolia users.

A free 60 day trial of the Magnolia Enterprise Edition (WebSphere) is available immediately for download at: http://www.magnolia.info
