CONET Increases Turnover to More Than 24 Million Euro

A firm customer base and order situation, satisfied clients, and targeted investments into research and technological development culminated in another successful financial year for the Hennef-based IT system and consulting specialists CONET Solutions GmbH. 24.3 million Euro turnover from project and product sales were achieved in the period April 1st 2006 through March 31st 2007. The earnings before tax (EBIT) amount to 1.4 million Euro. With an equity ratio of currently 33 percent the company looks back on another profitable year.
Compared to last year’s numbers, the turnover has been increased by almost 6 percent. Measured against the reported German growth of overall 2.7 percent, published by the German Statistisches Bundesamt, this clearly constitutes an above-average result. The respective figures for the ICT sector by the German business association BITKOM state growth rates of an average 2.5 percent for ICT companies in 2006. In the important fields of software sales (plus 5.5 percent) and ICT services (plus 4.5 percent) CONET has also performed well.
"Our successful business development is mostly due to our highly committed employees, who continually present our company as a reliable and innovative ICT partner to our customers", Wilfried Pütz, CONET’s managing director for finance and human resources, explains. This main pillar of CONET’s success had to be further strengthened during the current fiscal year. "We are putting deliberate efforts into recruiting new specialists for our key business areas. Consultants as well as system professionals are the skill profiles we are mainly looking for." Training-on-the-job also remained a strong factor here with a target number of approximately 20 trainees for 2007.
Furthermore, innovation and investments play a major role on CONET’s current agenda. Throughout the past financial year more than five percent of the turnover was being reinvested. "With our broad project experience and our extensive integration know-how we easily identify the business cases in which existing standards will not be sufficient for our customers’ needs", Rüdiger Zeyen, spokesman of CONET’s management board, emphasizes. "Here we are closely cooperating with leading system vendors like SAP and Cisco in order to develop certified add-on solutions which deal with our customers’ pressing ICT objectives efficiently and permanently."
For the current financial year the CONET management expects further moderate growth. "If the present trends are to be confirmed and our customers are, because of the generally increasing economic activity, prepared to embark on long overdue investments now, we will surely profit from these developments and will be able to even surpass our projected goals,” Zeyen concludes. 17.08.2007, Simon Vieth
