RealObjects, worldwide market leader for platform independent web content authoring solutions, today announced an OEM partnership with WebCT, Inc., the world's leading provider of integrated e-learning systems to the higher education market, to deliver in-browser word processing capabilities as part of its WebCT Vista solution.

By integrating RealObjects' WYSIWYG HTML/XML editor edit-onŽ Pro with WebCT Vista, customers will be able to easily publish content without having knowledge of HTML/XML. The editor provides word processor-like features within common web browsers in order to simplify and streamline the process of in-browser content authoring.

"The WebCT partnership once again demonstrates that RealObjects edit-onŽ Pro is the tool of choice, whenever market leading web-based solutions are required to support the broadest range of client environments. The cross platform capability of edit-onŽ Pro leverages the advantage of web based systems like WebCT Vista, especially in the heterogeneous environments of educational institutions," said Markus Neurohr, co-founder, Managing Director and CTO of RealObjects.

"RealObjects edit-onŽ Pro is an excellent addition to WebCT Vista's content management capabilities, which are unparalleled in the industry. As higher education institutions look for a return on their e-learning investments, as well as to increase the quality and consistency of their course offerings, the ability to easily create and manipulate learning content becomes a high priority. WebCT's partnership and integration with RealObjects makes it even easier for colleges and universities to author and edit their online content, contributing to increased productivity and enhanced efficiency across the institution," said Carol Vallone, president and CEO of WebCT.
