PDF PROFESSIONAL from e-Spirit generates CI-compliant pre-print formats
 Product supplier e-Spirit AG presents PDF PROFESSIONAL, a new module for its FirstSpirit Content Management System (CMS). It allows users to generate high-quality, printable PDF/X3 documents directly from the CMS. The content required for this can be edited at one central location and by several users working together. Compliance with both the corporate design and the quality standards of a professional pre-print format is also reliably guaranteed in the output document. PDF PROFESSIONAL is perfect in form PDF PROFESSIONAL generates these documents from templates defined in XSL-FO and the content available in the CMS. As a result, even complex documents can be processed automatically and displayed correctly, making layout errors such as "widows” and "orphans” (incorrectly wrapped paragraphs) a thing of the past. In addition it supports not just regions, margins and areas but also the width, height and sequence of pages as well as paragraphs, lists, tables, indexes and much more. The current version supports Acrobat Forms, PDF 1.3 through PDF 1.7, PDF/X and PDF/A in addition to Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew and Arabic. A gift for languages FirstSpirit and PDF PROFESSIONAL offer the best conditions for global content management. Rules can be established, for example, which specifically control breaks in lines (with automatic hyphenation in more than 40 languages), columns and pages. Texts can be typeset in any languages with any text directions. Languages can be used in combination, even if each line has a different text direction. Content: low-maintenance The content of the PFD documents is updated centrally and once only in FirstSpirit. All CI standards are adhered to for all output channels, e.g. websites, mobile applications or PDF print templates. The company’s corporate design thus remains standardised across all media. The prerequisite for using FirstSpirit PDF PROFESSIONAL is a FirstSpirit server on one of the platforms supported by FirstSpirit. PDF PROFESSIONAL is based on the XSL Formatter. This was developed by the Antenna House software company, founded in Tokyo in 1984.
