CWS-boco International, a subsidiary company of the Duisburg-based Haniel group, is employing pirobase CMS from Pironet NDH for the online relaunch of its premium brands in the fields of washroom hygiene, work clothing and textile services. Technology vendor and ICT service provider Pironet NDH also undertook the migration onto the latest version of its enterprise content management system, which will enable the online editorial team to react more swiftly to user behavior in the future.
The specially developed Form-Generator, for example, enables employees to put together complex web components such as order forms without any programming knowledge. The authors use the Generator to maintain the confirmation and product description pages that are used in the ordering process.
pirobase CMS also makes it easier for the website editorial team to manage multiple multimedia content such as images, Flash movies and text, re-using them at multiple locations across the website. This ensures that product images and information are always both uniform in appearance and up to date.
The first stage of the process was the German website for CWS-boco, which was launched in April. This website serves as a template for all the other territories, whose websites will be online by the end of the year. While centrally-managed templates for design and document types guarantee the uniformity of content, the community-based administration of the ECM software leaves room for dealing flexibly with local requirements. "The individual sites for each territory enable our subsidiary companies to react unilaterally to their local market and prioritize content as appropriate. The re-use of multimedia content that pirobase CMS makes possible is particularly useful in this context,” as Dr. Maren Crone, Communications Team Leader at CWS-boco, summarizes. "This enables our Communications team to provide common content for all the European territories at one central location.”

Besides the technical migration, Pironet NDH also undertook the ongoing operation of the international website and - via subsidiary company nexum AG - conceptual, design and editorial work for the new branding. "When it came to awarding the contract, close collaboration between the separate aspects of the process was of particular importance. The nature of the Pironet NDH corporate group provides the ideal framework for smooth cooperation, from the initial conceptual stage through to ongoing operation,” says Dr. Crone.
