Cincinnati Extrusion GmbH - a leading supplier of extrusion equipment in Austria - and SIEB & MEYER AG with headquarters in Lüneburg, Germany have introduced TCToolbox for authoring technical documentation. The XML-based Technical Publication Content Management System developed by Ovidius provides modularisation of content, thus enabling several authors and illustrators to work simultaneously on complex documents.

TCToolbox Workgroup Edition was designed to enhance the efficiency and automation of publishing and translation processes. Product-related content is created once and can be re-used as modules in different publications. The workflow streamlines translation processes and in an environment where content is modularised only those modules are sent to the translator where the content has changed since they were last translated. As XML editor both customers have opted for XMetaL while the publication will be created by the formatting engine AntennaHouse XSL-Formatter via XSL-FO.

"We have changed to XML to be able to build efficient and future-proof documentation” says Leyla Schröder, project manager for the implementation of TCToolbox at SIEB & MEYER.
