The City of Reykjavik has selected the fully Microsoft.NET based business content management system contentXXL for its "Visit Reykjavik” website (www.visitreykjavik.is). The website was re-launched using contentXXL CMS due to its highly flexible, ease of operation and cost-effectiveness. After conducting a survey of other systems on the market, the City of Reykjavik chose contentXXL CMS not only for its technical advantage, but also for its capability to maintain and improve its various websites and intranet under just one license.

TM Software, contentXXL International GmbH’s solution partner in Iceland, implemented this challenging project using the basic system plus XML, Event and Picture Gallery modules from the advanced range.

"Visit Reykjavik is the product of our renewed commitment to promote Reykjavik as an interesting destination and create a new forum for co-operation in the field of tourism in Iceland” commented Fridrik Rafnsson, the City of Reykjavik’s Web Development Project Manager. "We are very happy with the website and how simple it is to use. We have been able to develop our new "e-face” to the world well inside our budget because of the cost-effectiveness of contentXXL’s CMS.”
