In addition to the Internet and intranet portal a specially developed ASP.NET online shop based on Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 will also be implemented. The deciding factor for arvato systems was total technological compatibility between the online shop and the CMS.

During implementation of the web shop application the decision was made to use an in-house developed .NET application based on Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, however the choice of a suitable CMS was initially still open.
