onion.net receives certification for Microsoft

The Content Management System onion.net is being presented for the first time at the CeBIT. The innovative ASP.NET CMS for model-driven web development has been tested by the independent test laboratory VeriTest. The result of the analysis confirms: onion.net meets the high quality standards of Microsoft and fulfils the criteria of the Microsoft Platform Test for ISV Solutions for Microsoft Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005.
onion.net consistently relies on forward-looking Microsoft technology: 100% managed code and a distributed, highly scalable client/server architecture form the basis of the system. "The fast and positive result highlights the quality of our product onion.net and proves us in development", says Bernd Burkert, product manager for onion.net.
The special characteristic of onion.net is sustainability thanks to model-driven solutions. Instead of relying on ready-made data models and functions based on these, as is the case with traditional Content Management Systems, the onion.net developers have taken quite a different approach. "Ten years of experience with web projects have made us see that little can be predicted in the long run apart from the growth of requirements", Burkert continues.
The onion.net information model is not set in stone, but is editable and can be adapted to requirements at any time. The user interface is generated automatically and is attractive through being streamlined. In this way, onion.net can grow quickly and flexibly with requirements. "Many customers already have the system in highly-productive operation and they are impressed with the high efficiency and simple operability ", says Burkert. 07.05.2009, Sachiko Balázs
