onion.net presents SharePoint Integration at the CeBIT (Hannover, 2 - 5 March 2010)

The onion.net SharePoint Integration will be sparking interest at the Microsoft business stand during this year’s CeBIT (Hall 4, A26). At the same time as Microsoft SharePoint 2010 is released, the compatible onion.net version for customers will also be available. The model-driven CMS has set itself the goal of making the maintenance of complex websites simpler and faster. This is achieved for example by content from the Intranet being very easily transferrable onto the web. onion.net works both as an individual solution and integrated with other systems such as the "Intershop Enfinity Suite” or "Microsoft SharePoint”.
The Intranet of many enterprises is no longer thinkable without Microsoft SharePoint as a platform for co-operation and information. It is only used rarely for the Internet. The onion.net integration works like a bridge: It is possible for the responsible specialist departments to process contents in the usual SharePoint team environment. onion.net can automatically take up content and display it on the public web pages, combined with other information.
"onion.net creates additional security for SharePoint installations and offers all the advantages of an enterprise web CMS at the same time”, says Bernd Burkert, product manager of onion.net. He follows this point up with more good news for the responsible operators: "We also employ the intelligent caching of onion.net at the interface. Strain on the SharePoint server farm due to additional Internet users is therefore reduced”.
The modern onion.net CMS was developed in programming language C# on the Microsoft.NET Framework and is tested for use on Microsoft server technology. It stands out from the crowd of other CMS solutions with its intelligent concepts and particular ease of use. onion.net is currently being used by reputable customers such as RWE, bofrost* and Evonik. 17.02.2010, Neriman Cetinkaya
