Imperia AG is to present the new version of its content management platform at the CeBIT 2004 trade fair in Hanover (Hall 3, Stand E26). New features in version 7.5 include enhancements to existing functions, web services and an easy to use function for tracking document changes.

Enterprise Content Management with web services

By supporting web services, Imperia 7.5 makes it possible to integrate heterogeneous services running under different system types. The basis for this are standards such as SOAP and XML-RPC. In this way applications using differing technologies (e.g. Java or .NET) can be integrated into Imperia using the workflow engine. Complex intranet systems and portals will especially benefit from web services.

Tracking document amendments

This new feature further simplifies working with Imperia. It provides a better overview of document processing especially when more than one user is responsible for getting content on line.

Enhancements to existing features

Imperia has been equipped with the workflow engine since 2001 which enables the graphical representation and implementation of business procedures. Imperia 7.5 enhances the operation of the workflow engine. The media database, included in Imperia’s content management platform since 1995, has also been upgraded for version 7.5. Imperia also intends showing examples of Office integration into its content management system.

At its fifth CeBIT appearance, Imperia will also demonstrate how public institutions can implement barrier free portals using the workflow engine.

20.02.2004, Imperia AG
