GMX Chooses CoreMedia Smart Content Technology
CoreMedia, the leading provider of innovative Smart Content Technology, today announced that it has signed a comprehensive five-year contract with GMX, the German communications service provider and email and messaging specialist. CoreMedia's software will be implemented for sophisticated content management of the personalized high-capacity portal.
Additionally, the company will employ further CoreMedia modules and services for the large German Internet portal GMX. GMX is Germany's pioneer and specialist for convenient, fast communication and information via the Internet. Its core business comprises free and paid-for web services around email and messaging.
In the future, CoreMedia's technology will be used for all GMX portals - which presently already count over 1 billion page impressions per month - as well as for GMX' corporate website. Integrated into GMX processes, Smart Content Technology will administer both media asset management and multi channel delivery of editorial content on various portals. Additionally, the GMX-specific personalization of the offerings based on user profiles will be realized in a next step with CoreMedia technology.
