Document Sciences Hosts Annual Users Conference on Content Processing

Document Sciences Corporation (Nasdaq: DOCX) announced it will host this year's Document Sciences Annual Conference, being held Sunday April 25th through Wednesday April 28th, at the San Diego Hilton Resort. The event, co-sponsored by Document Sciences' partners DST Output, PureEdge and SYSCOM, provides participants with best practices information on deployment and usage of Document Sciences' award-winning xPression content processing services and Autograph software for insurance and financial services business communications.

Keynote speakers at the event include Randy James, CIO of Americo Life, Inc. and Jeff Fehn, Director of IT for Virginia Farm Bureau. Mr. James will address how Americo Life, one of the largest private insurers in the U.S. is leveraging Document Sciences' xPression for policy production across the organization, resulting in significant return on investment. Mr. Fehn will discuss the benefits Virginia Farm Bureau has witnessed in delivering policies and correspondence faster through their agent sales network in both print and electronic formats with xPression. Other customer presentations at the conference include a session on "Building a Document Disaster Recovery Plan" from Health Insurance Plan USA and a case study presentation from AAA Life Insurance of Michigan.

Document Sciences' partner, DST Output (www.dstoutput.com) will highlight its VeraSure(SM) ASP solution for regulated insurance communications, which uses xPression to create and deliver policies, proposals, correspondence and other customer communications through multiple channels. VeraSure provides a "pay-as-you-go" application service provider (ASP) approach for document creation and distribution for the life, annuity, property and casualty insurance sectors.

PureEdge Solutions Inc. (www.pureedge.com) will present information on using XML-based forms to gain operational efficiency through automation of claims and policy communications. Document Sciences has partnered with PureEdge to provide standards-based automation for the entire insurance policy process. The partnership joins PureEdge's ACORD XML-based e-forms solution with Document Sciences' ISO-forms based xPression policy generation solution.

SYSCOM (www.syscom.com), a reseller of Document Sciences' xPression architecture, will be exhibiting at the conference, and focusing on xPression's capabilities to integrate with IBM's Content Manager, providing a powerful integrated content processing and content management solution across the enterprise.
