Idetix Revize Software Named The North York General Hospital Web Content Management Solution

Idetix Software Systems, www.idetix.com, creators of Revize Web Content Management software, will provide content management software to North York General Hospital (Toronto, Ontario Canada), announced George Cameron, President and CEO of Idetix. "We are excited that Revize Content Management Software will help make it possible for North York General Hospital to improve communications between operating units, ensure web site content accuracy and reduce administrative costs," he said.
Chris Hart, IT Strategy Coordinator, North York General Hospital (NYGH), explains why and how he chose Idetix Revize(R) Content Management Software to improve communication across his organization and extend the existing Intranet:
"After a comprehensive requirements analysis and review of content management software vendors, North York General Hospital concluded that Revize matched the defined requirements and provided the best value for our health care dollars. Revize allows NYGH to empower end users with the tools to manage their own content, therefore driving timely and relevant information to the web site. The overall design and consistency of the site is protected because users are given specific content contributor roles that allow them to change or update only certain sections of each page on site."
Hart continued, "The flexibility and intuitive interface provided in the Revize product has greatly contributed to a successful content management implementation at North York General Hospital."
North York General Hospital (NYGH) is a multi-site regional teaching hospital and serves people in north central Toronto and southern York Region. NYGH has three sites, including General Division -- a regional teaching hospital; Seniors' Health Centre -- a long-term care facility and day hospital for seniors; and Branson Division -- outpatient programs and urgent care provided through the Community Care Centre.
NYGH is affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a partner with Sunnybrook & Women's College Health Sciences Centre in the Peters-Boyd Academy.
North York General Hospital is also completing 75,000 sq. ft of renovations to the existing Leslie Street hospital building. Together, the expanded facility will have 440 inpatient beds, and will provide a full range of medical, clinical and wellness services.
The Charlotte and Lewis Steinberg Emergency at North York General Hospital, already one of the busiest emergency departments in Canada, has been expanded and renovated. A new triage area, 44 new treatment areas and new adult and pediatric waiting areas have been added. The facility is expected to treat more than 75,000 patients per year.
