FileNet Corporation (Nasdaq: FILE), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, today announced that it has been positioned in the "Leader" quadrant by Gartner, Inc., a premier industry research and advisory firm, in Gartner's Magic Quadrant assessment for Business Process Analysis (BPA), which focuses on business process optimization through process modeling, simulation, adjustment, implementation and measurement. This recognition follows FileNet’s leader quadrant recognition in both Gartner’s Business Process Management (BPM)[1] and Integrated Document Management (IDM)[2] Magic Quadrants during the past year.
The latest report, titled "Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis, 2004" issued March 4, 2004, evaluated 36 vendors that offer BPA. FileNet was one of eight companies to be positioned in the Leader quadrant.
According to Gartner, Leaders are vendors who are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
Gartner says it has seen increased interest in the BPA area, driven by customers’ desire for cost savings. The report states, “There is a focus on business processes and keeping these processes agile and optimized.”
“We are pleased that FileNet is being recognized for its integrated business process analytics, simulation and modeling,” Lee Roberts, chairman and CEO, FileNet Corporation. “With the fully integrated process optimization and analytic capabilities found in FileNet’s Business Process Manager suite, we believe we can provide our customers with the operational visibility, business agility and adaptability to make better business decisions faster, enabling them to more effectively compete and quickly adapt to today’s dynamic and competitive business environment.”
FileNet’s Business Process Manager is designed to automate, streamline and optimize business processes by managing the flow of work between people and systems for improved performance. Tightly integrated process analytics and simulation capabilities can offer companies insight to improve business processes, maximize resources, control risk, and quickly model, test and deploy new processes to address emerging requirements. Process optimization also provides a valuable feedback loop to help organizations monitor key performance indicators such as cycle times, customer service response times and employee productivity to improve the performance of an organization on an on-going basis.
“At FileNet, we believe business process management, including business process analysis, is a key capability required for a comprehensive ECM infrastructure,” added Roberts. “FileNet’s P8 architecture unifies the entire spectrum of capabilities around Content Management, Process Management, and Enterprise Connectivity required to deliver powerful business solutions that enable customers to drive the overall performance of their business.”
