Following a competitive pitch process, Mediasurface, the leading content management software developer, has selected Clarity Public Relations as its UK PR consultancy.

Clarity Public Relations, who won the account in a four-way pitch, will be retained by Mediasurface to focus on endorsing both the company and its innovative products the recently launched Mediasurface 5 and Morello, to the business and technology press.

Nick Bolton, Product Marketing Director of Mediasurface, commented: "In the end the decision was simple, we connected with Clarity Public Relations from the outset; their company values of 'clear', 'focussed' and 'creative' are a match for our business. Clarity Public Relations' understanding of our business goals and vision, combined with their experience and integrity made them the obvious choice. We are really looking forward to working with them."

Clarity Public Relations was founded three years ago by business and technology journalist Sean Fleming, who worked as the managing editor on leading titles including "The Register" and "Computing". The company's key business objective - communicating with clarity is something that from a journalist's perspective was desperately lacking in the high-tech PR sector. Fleming said: "We have a simple outlook; to provide clients with an effective communications consultancy and provide journalists with interesting stories. We keep it clear, we keep it focused and we don't do fluff. For Mediasurface, we will demonstrate the benefits they deliver to their customers by bridging the gap between the technical expert and the business user of sophisticated websites with content management."
