Docutec gains R.I.C. as customer

At the start of the CeBIT, the Aachen-based extraction specialist, Docutec, announced the signing of a contract with R.I.C. Electronic Communication Services GmbH, located in Ditzingen, near Stuttgart, Germany. R.I.C. is a cooperation of electrical retailers in Germany which arose from a joint venture between the companies Interfunk eG and Ruefach GmbH & Co. KG who promote the well-known retail brands Red Zac and Master’s. As a centralized invoice clearing provider, R.I.C. manages supplier invoices from its 2,500 or so members. Due to the unusually large number of suppliers involved for a centralized invoice clearing provider, R.I.C. has opted for a combination of the tried-and-tested Docutec FingerPrint process and the Docutec ConText free-form recognition for automatically capturing incoming invoices.
With this new contract, Docutec is continuing to build upon its position as market leader in the sector of centralized invoice clearing. Furthermore, as this project represents the debut of Docutec ConText in a centralized clearing application, Docutec has gained an important reference project and has thus further boosted its sales potential.
Docutec ConText recognizes and checks all relevant booking data, without the need for design and customization efforts, and then makes this data available to the financial software, e.g. SAP R/3. This significantly accelerates the process of getting the system up and running, particularly when a large number of suppliers is involved. 20.04.2004, Frank Bärmann
