This week at the co-located Seybold Seminars Amsterdam and XML Europe events, Ektron Inc., will unveil a content management solution developed in a "native" .NET Framework-based environment. Ektron CMS400.NET, built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, is an evolutionary step in content management solutions, delivering advanced security, scalability, and interoperability to mid-sized enterprises. The Microsoft .NET Framework helps businesses deliver value to customers, partners and employees. It enables IT professionals to connect their organizations more effectively than ever before and exchange information via Web services.

"Ektron continues to build affordable content management solutions offering easy integration and use for developers, administrators and business users," said Bill Rogers, CEO, Ektron, Inc. "We are committed to developing CMS solutions based on Microsoft’s technology roadmap -- in this case, the .NET Framework. Ektron"s strategy is to bring content management to the masses. Many organizations are upgrading their technology platform and transitioning to Microsoft Windows Server System and the .NET Framework," added Rogers. "CMS400.NET addresses the growing need for a .NET Framework-based content management solution."

CMS400.NET makes it easier to integrate applications and share information via Web services, and helps turn a Web site into a true Web-based application. It enables developers to create richer and more robust applications for Web site users.

"Microsoft is pleased Ektron has built its solution on the .NET Framework," said Richard Burte, product manager in the Developer and Platform Evangelism Division at Microsoft Corp. "Together with the .NET Framework, CMS400 helps bring advanced security, scalability and interoperability to our mutual customers."

Ektron CMS400.NET delivers the following benefits:

- Streamlines deployment of content management applications
- Lowers integration costs
- Offers tight integration with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
- Enhances security with a "managed code" approach
- Supports content sharing across applications and devices

CMS400.NET's enhanced Web services API allows users to extend their Web sites and intranets by integrating content from other devices or locations.

Ektron CMS400.NET delivers all the business benefits that organizations need from a Web content management solution; content check-in/check-out, workflow, approval process, content history and numerous advanced features for creating, editing, publishing and managing information. It includes Ektron's WYSIWYG editor, eWebEditPro+XML, which lets business users author XML forms and easily capture and structure XML and XHTML documents and data.
