At Momentum, the Documentum User Conference, Documentum, provider of enterprise content management and a division of EMC Corporation, announced that it has certified key components of the Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform for HP Integrity servers and HP-UX 11i on the Intel(R) Itanium(R) 2 microarchitecture.

Chris Attwood of HP will speak at the conference about HP's Adaptive Enterprise strategy and how Documentum's solutions can be integrated into an adaptive environment.

The Documentum ECM platform enables companies to create, manage, deliver and archive large volumes of any type of content (documents, Web pages, XML files, rich media and fixed content), helping global organizations to automate business processes and drive enterprise-wide efficiencies. Documentum's certification of products such as Documentum Webtop and Documentum Web Development Kit (WDK) for the Intel Itanium 2 microarchitecture of HP-UX 11i and HP Integrity server means that customers can now capitalize on their content resources in a cost-effective manner without having to sacrifice performance and scalability.

"The certification of the Documentum ECM platform enables customers to reap the price/performance advantages of Itanium with the scalability, performance, availability and reliability found in Documentum," said Howard Shao, chief technology officer and founder of Documentum, a division of EMC. "Documentum is pleased to support the HP Integrity line of servers and to extend our relationship with HP and Intel in delivering open, industry standard solutions at the lowest total cost of ownership."

"The certification of the Documentum ECM platform on the Intel Itanium 2 architecture of HP-UX 11i and our line of HP Integrity servers is another step in furthering HP's Adaptive Enterprise vision of business agility," said Bruno Castejon, director of business application solutions, Enterprise Storage and Servers, HP. "Working with partners such as Documentum, HP is expanding the capabilities of HP's leading-edge infrastructure to better service all the needs of customers within increasingly demanding business environments."

"Intel Itanium 2 processor-based systems offer optimal performance for enterprise applications such as the Documentum ECM platform," said Melissa Laird, general manager, Solutions Enabling Division, Intel Corporation. "We are glad to be working with solution providers, such as Documentum, to help customers maximize their return on investment."
