TIBCO Software Inc., enabler of real-time business and the world's largest independent business integration software company, today announced the launch of a government solutions practice and Executive Briefing Center aimed at the development and delivery of standards-based integration solutions for Federal government agencies and departments.

TIBCO Unveils New Government Solutions Practice

In today's era of increased government efficiency and need for cross-departmental information sharing, TIBCO® solutions offer the Federal government a smart choice for Information Technology (IT) integration requirements. TIBCO solutions help organizations leverage existing IT investments and operate across legacy systems – providing government agencies a lower total cost of system ownership as compared to both stovepipe legacy processes and custom, hand-coded integration methods.

"Ease of implementation and use, coupled with total cost of ownership and return on investment, were paramount concerns in considering solutions providers for our procurement system," said Mike Sade, director for acquisition management and procurement executive, U.S. Department of Commerce. "These new practices offered Commerce the means to consolidate procurement processes and better track budget expenditures through commitment accounting."

"TIBCO solutions, along with the support of our Federal government partners, enable government decision makers to have a far more significant impact on their organizations and agency missions," said Chris Larsen, executive vice president, Worldwide Sales and Alliances. "With our solutions in the background, decision makers leverage reduced time to action at decisive moments. Armed with rapid, easy access to actionable information, government is better able to achieve mission objectives and multi-agency collaborative goals."

Collaborating with Partners to Develop Best-Value Government Solutions

Located just outside of Washington, D.C. in Falls Church, Virginia, TIBCO's Executive Briefing Center offers a complete standards-based development environment for both TIBCO and industry partners. Working in tandem with solutions providers and systems integrators, TIBCO will leverage the new Executive Briefing Center to continue to develop solutions that meet the Federal government's most complex challenges. TIBCO solutions directly support government's Federal Enterprise Architecture, homeland security, and inter-agency collaboration initiatives. Further, the Executive Briefing Center will offer partners a venue in which to demonstrate capabilities to customers and prospects alike.

"True process and data integration is at the heart of modernizing government and defense," said Fred Czerner, vice president technology services, Synergy, Inc., "We are excited to be working with TIBCO, an organization that understands the challenges facing today's government and offers real tools to solve complex challenges."

13.05.2004, TIBCO Software Inc.
