New web presence and redesign

The German subsidiary of the innovative American Dentsply Group in Constance administers its new web presence on the basis of add.min 2004.Net Enterprise Edition of K&K Internet Ltd. Moreover, a new intranet based on add.min is being planned. The new web presence was combined with a total redesign and restructuring of the entire website.

Single Source and Publishing on Demand

The print catalogue has so far been generated from a database of the H&L company in Constance. This database administers article data, classes of goods, images and extensive additional information.

add.min Shop uses the information of this database via an XML-interface, which enables Dentsply DeTrey Ltd. to generate the print- as well as the online-version of the catalogue on demand or time-triggered in the background. The images are adapted automatically by add.min Shop in the process. Depending on the article or class of goods add.min Shop assigns adequate templates to ensure an optimized representation in the web.
The interactive online-catalogue makes the presentation of products much easier. Additionally, the product catalogue is also available offline as a PDF-file.

Perspective

As a next step in the process of the add.min-integration Dentsply plans using the add.min Liberty-Server. With the add.min Liberty-Server it will be possible to edit the website in the intranet and transfer it via database-replication onto the provider’s server.
