Estco Medical, the creator of the Medigent® software suite, has launched a new Web site for OriGene Technologies, Inc., a molecular tool provider for system biology studies based in Rockville, Maryland. The new site, www.origene.com, features an updated graphic design and incorporates Medigent Content Management System (CMS) and a customized e-commerce application to make the online experience more user- friendly.

Estco's creative team developed the look-and-feel of OriGene's Web site design to coincide with new corporate branding and included a streamlined navigation to enhance usability. Powered by Medigent CMS, OriGene site administrators can now update the site with the latest biotechnology advancements, corporate information and product development. All content and gene information is cross linked to other industry resources to guarantee that visitors are receiving the most up-to-date news and information. Estco Medical also included secure e-commerce capabilities within the site for integration with OriGene's existing accounting system. With this new application, returning customers have the capability to login, browse and place an order under their own corporate account and new customers can set up accounts for immediate and future use.

"Our team took into consideration OriGene's different needs and crafted a design and platform that worked. The new site will bring the organization's marketing goals to the surface and make its online presence more insightful and intuitive," said Seth Berger, Director of Development at Estco Medical. "With the addition of Medigent CMS and the e-commerce capabilities, site administrators and visitors will now enjoy a more dynamic and productive experience with the site."
