The United States Fund for UNICEF selected online solutions provider Kintera(R) Inc. to redesign and launch its new highly-interactive Content Management System (CMS) Web site to rebrand the organization, and increase overall visibility. Built around UNICEF's three core elements of fundraising, advocacy and education, the Web site (www.unicefusa.org) is a powerful tool that allows the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to clearly communicate in real-time with supporters and allow them to form a true community with a common cause.

Since 1947, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has supported the work of UNICEF by fundraising for its programs and increasing public awareness of the challenges facing the world's children. As the oldest of 37 national committees for UNICEF worldwide, the U.S. Fund is part of a global effort to advance humanity with health, education, equality and protection for every child. UNICEF's lifesaving programs are funded entirely by voluntary contributions.

"Kintera worked with us every step of the way to launch the latest online technology to help increase visibility for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, and provide our many supporters the real-time information they need," said Donna Blackwell, vice president, marketing communications at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. "Our new Web site not only enables us to reach a broader supporter base, but also gives supporters tools to fundraise and share information on our behalf."

Kintera's feature-rich enterprise software allows the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to increase its one-to-one relationship marketing with donors, volunteers and other supporters to help improve the lives of children throughout the world. The new Web site broadens the organization's reach, captures member data for a more personalized Web experience and securely collects donations, among other features.

By simply visiting www.unicefusa.org, supporters can contribute online, sign up to receive eNews, take action on children's issues or purchase UNICEF cards and gifts. A major function of the Web site is to effectively communicate with Web visitors regarding fundraising initiatives. For example, supporters can learn online how to run a local coin collection, start a good deeds campaign or compile a cookbook to sell locally.

"We are very pleased to be a technology partner with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to help expand their reach and better communicate with a large base of supporters," said Kintera's CEO Harry Gruber. "Kintera redesigned their Web site and provided sophisticated technology to help the organization improve children's daily lives in the 158 countries and territories where UNICEF works."
