When the bridge between Malmö and Copenhagen was opened a few years back linking Sweden and Denmark, an entire new region was created - the Øresund region.

Europe's largest concentration of universities
Now, a group of 14 universities in this region of southern Sweden and the Copenhagen area have launched The Øresund Study Gateway. It is a portal for higher education, which provides one single web access point to the largest concentration of university studies in Europe, with a total of 140.000 students.

The new joint portal brings together information about university studies from the entire Øresund region creating an education gateway with information about thousands of different study opportunities and courses.

"The portal provides a fast and easy access to one single education region and becomes an important instrument in the regions future development, integration and marketing," says the Chairman of the regional university and principal of the Copenhagen University, Linda Nielsen.

The portal is available in both Swedish and Danish.

The solution is built with a content management system (CMS) from Synkron and implemented by Synkron.web-partner ProActive.

You can see it on www.studygateway.dk.
