Captaris, Inc., a provider of business information delivery solutions, announced a key OEM agreement for its Teamplate business process automation product with Information Management Research (IMR), Inc., a document and fixed content management software company. The Captaris Teamplate OEM agreement will add core business process automation capabilities to IMR's document management and records retention solutions, helping customers meet increasingly complex compliance regulations, while at the same time improving their business processes.

Captaris Teamplate will be used as the workflow engine for IMR's flagship Alchemy software suite to automate manual processes including accounts payable/receivable, loan processing, contract management and many other labor- and paper-intensive applications. The OEM agreement addresses the enterprise content management (ECM) needs of small and mid-sized businesses that have been underserved because other systems with similar capabilities are more expensive and require massive IT resources and deployment. The Teamplate Wizard development environment provides IMR a starting place to add business process automation to their product line. IMR's solutions within ECM improve operational efficiency, ensure compliance by reducing litigation exposure, and enable IT consolidation and standardization through its end-to-end fixed content management technology.

"This is an important partnership for us as we seek to infuse our powerful business process automation tools into the customers' critical business information delivery streams," said Dan Campi, vice president of business development at Captaris, Inc.

"We're excited to offer Captaris-powered workflow applications to our customers," stated Steven Grandchamp, IMR President and CEO. "The mid-market is looking for quick-to-deploy software with minimal dollar investment, both upfront and over time. With the Captaris Teamplate integration, our Alchemy product line will now provide that." Grandchamp continued, "Our complementary technologies enable customers to successfully capture, manage, archive, retrieve and deliver critical business information at any point in the information lifecycle." IMR is ranked as an industry visionary for regulatory compliance and records management in the Gartner Integrated Document Archive and Retrieval Systems Magic Quadrant.
