First Consulting Group (FCG), provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions in the life sciences industry, announced the release of the FirstDoc Academy(TM), a hosted e-Learning portal that supports users of FirstDocTM, the company's ECM solution suite.
The Academy accelerates the roll-out of the FCG application by training users in half of the time of traditional classroom approaches, and is estimated to save at least 35 percent in instructor led training-related costs. The Academy has proven to be an effective training resource for companies with geographically dispersed or large workforces, for those continually building employee skills, or those attempting to deliver just-in-time information.
Powered by the iLearn Learning Content Management System from UK-based IQ Consultancy Group (IQCG), the FirstDoc Academy provides a self-paced, online training laboratory that transfers knowledge, simulates interaction and assessment, and delivers a comfortable user experience within a regulatory compliant learning environment. FirstDoc Academy is an application service provider (ASP) which speeds deployment and saves significant resources.

Furthermore, we can deliver e-learning materials in an on-demand environment, eliminating the need for costly classroom-based training."
The FirstDoc Academy is a Web-enabled learning portal that provides full content authoring capabilities and interactive learning content, combined with a complete compliance management and reporting toolset to provide 21CFR Part 11 and ERES compliant training and support in a cGxP environment.
Hosted remotely at the FCG Operations Center in Nashville, TN, the FirstDoc Academy reduces time-to-productivity for a new FirstDoc implementation by more than 50 percent because training is streamlined, standardized and self-paced. Operating 24 x 7, FirstDoc clients have access to e-Learning programs for all applicable FirstDoc products from any location with Internet access and a browser. The portal can be personalized for client specific needs in terms of the content as well as the overall look and feel of the application. It offers full client confidentiality, secure access to client training programs and data, synchronization of new learning content in conjunction with software releases and full control of user administration and training records.
