BRT, Inc. (Novi, MI), an Enterprise Content Management Systems Integration firm, announces continued success delivering business critical application systems for the Manitowoc Company, Inc.. Manitowoc is a multi-industry, capital goods manufacturer with market-leading products in the crane, foodservice, and marine industries. BRT completed the migration of Manitowoc's various corporate and division web sites to the Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform in the fall of 2003; and in addition has been named the exclusive provider of content management and collaborative solutions consulting, development, and technical support for Manitowoc.

With over 7,000 employees in three primary business segments and 28 global locations, a successful deployment required a number of distinct business solution needs to be considered and aligned with Manitowoc's core information strategies.

"Our flagship application enables us to preserve our brand integrity no matter how fast our Web content expands; and that consistency gives us a competitive advantage we can promote for new projects," said Steve Servais, Director of Web Services for Manitowoc. "BRT covers our support requirements and gets us to resolution, whether the root cause of an incident is in the application or elsewhere in our infrastructure. Finger pointing over fault is never an issue on our team."

John Middleton, Vice President of BRT said, "Web Content Management and secure collaboration capabilities are essential to Manitowoc, but these are only an initial step. We are continually seeking new opportunities to leverage the solution infrastructure for even greater benefits."

"To maximize the return on our IT budget, we set direction and outsource the execution and support of specialty applications," says Jim Pequex, CIO of Manitowoc. "BRT is committed to our success, giving us application guidance and technical support. They work with us to identify opportunities that improve business processes and generate even greater returns against our initial investment."
