GlobalSCAPE announced the availability of PureCMS 3.0, the latest version of its mid-market Web content management system.

PureCMS is a full-featured Web content management system (WCM), which enables non-technical teams to create, edit and manage Web site content visually without using hypertext markup language (HTML), while ensuring Web site administrators have full control over access, usage and publishing rights. PureCMS solves the "Webmaster bottleneck" most organizations with active Web sites face at some point due to over-reliance on technical personnel. PureCMS 3.0 supports customization of complex workflow and approval processes, automates the management of a site's navigation, provides granular administrative control, expands the use of templates, and enables multi-server publishing for greater productivity and improved Web site management.

Key Benefits Include:

* Browser-based so administrators don't have to install software on end-user computers

* Works on top of existing Web sites for rapid implementation

* Prevents unintentional changes to a live site through use of a staging environment

* Supports existing business processes through multi-level workflow and approval

* Lets you run all of your organization's Web sites from a single installation

* Enables you to run custom commands that link PureCMS to other applications

* Delivers real-time site usage and marketing statistics eliminating the need for additional investment

* Reduces learning curve through familiar, Windows-like(R)interface

* Capable of publishing to any Web server platform for increased flexibility

"Our experience meeting the content management needs of mid-size organizations resulted in interaction with customers that required more sophisticated capabilities," said GlobalSCAPE President and COO, Randy Poole. "PureCMS 3.0 meets market demand for customizable, automated, and broader-reaching processes, which create more effective Web sites and businesses," continued Poole.

"At Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), our challenge was implementing an effective Web content management platform that would work with our existing infrastructure and provide a streamlined process for updating rapidly changing information on our Web site, critical to public transportation in our region," said Julie Ann Schmanek, SEPTA Communications Liaison, Public and Government Affairs. "GlobalSCAPE and PureCMS not only achieved our goals, but provided exceptional service and guidance during the entire implementation process. We couldn't be happier," continued Schmanek.

PureCMS is Web-based and Windows(R)-like, installs on a staging server running Microsoft Internet Information Services(R) (IIS) and can publish to any Web server platform. Non-technical users simply browse to a copy of their organization's Web site hosted on the PureCMS staging server, login, click the page they want to edit and make changes on screen. Once proposed changes are saved, the next individual in the approval process is notified via e-mail and can approve, deny or request changes to pending activity. Once final approval has been received, changes can be published immediately or scheduled for a specific time.

Pricing and Availability. PureCMS 3.0 is available immediately from GlobalSCAPE based on a tiered, per-user license basis. Pricing begins at $395 per user. Education, nonprofit, government, and volume discounts are available.
