Conviveon Corp., a provider of enterprise content management solutions, released an upgraded version of the company's flagship product, SiteConnect Server. The company touts Version 6.0 as providing businesses a more expedient and economical way to deploy multiple content-driven business initiatives, such as intranets, extranets, portals, corporate Web sites, catalogs and Web applications.
The new version of SiteConnect Server has the addition of a built-in shopping cart function with customizable fulfillment workflow capabilities. SiteConnect Server 6.0 also supports B2C and now allows the creation of enhanced RFQ functionality and more traditional e-commerce solutions.
"Conviveon enhanced SiteConnect Server to increase the ease of use for those employees charged with managing the information and commerce their company delivers internally and externally," said Peter Eberley, senior vice president of products at Conviveon. "Now business users interact with a single web-based solution for everything from content submission to product shipping, making it faster, easier and less expensive to manage the entire process."
Version 6.0 also includes a new XML-based interface for providing dynamic content on existing Web sites using virtually any existing technology, including Microsoft .Net, PHP, Cold Fusion, and Active Server Pages. The content searching features now include ranking search results by relevancy and the ability to index documents attached to a content record. Additional enhancements to SiteConnect Server include upgraded multi-lingual content management and development capabilities, expanded options for content organization, and seamless processes for installation and configuration.
With its multi-site management capabilities, Conviveon SiteConnect Server also enables business users to rapidly create new sites that inherit characteristics from existing "parent" sites such as look and feel, color schemes, organization, and content components.
