FileNet Corporation, provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, announced judges of its 2004 FileNet Innovation Awards. This distinguished panel of judges is composed of respected leaders from the ECM industry including analysts, members of the press and FileNet senior executives.(
The FileNet Innovation Awards recognize and honor FileNet customers who have created innovative software applications. The awards will be presented at FileNet's annual users conference UserNet(TM) 2004 in Anaheim, California, October 17-20, 2004.
This year's judges include:

* Bryant Duhon, Editor-in-Chief, eDoc Magazine
* John Longwell, Managing Editor, Computer Reseller News Magazine
* Rich Medina, Principal Analyst, Doculabs, Inc.

* David Yockelson, Senior Vice President, Meta Group
The FileNet senior executives on the judging panel include Dr. Daniel Whelan, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer and David Caldeira, Vice President of Product Marketing.
This year's Innovation Awards program focuses on two categories:
Best Enterprise Content Management Application or Solution
This award category focuses on recognizing implementations of applications and solutions incorporating FileNet Enterprise Content Management technology. These solutions have helped organizations realize significant improvement(s) in their business operations. With this application or solution, organizations are able to solve real-world business problems and achieve significant competitive advantage. FileNet will recognize the best ECM application or solution in five industry categories: financial services, government, insurance, manufacturing/utilities and other.
Best Business Process Management Application or Solution
This award category focuses on recognizing implementations of applications and solutions that deploy FileNet Business Process Management (BPM) to increase process performance, reduce cycle times, and improve productivity. These applications and solutions illustrate how FileNet's BPM technology allows organizations to innovate or dramatically change the way the organization and industry conducts business. Applications and solutions will be considered that integrate enterprise applications and business processes to dramatically improve an organization's operations.
