EMC to Host Online Seminar on EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management Platform

EMC Corporation , provider of information storage and management, announced that it will host an online seminar on how healthcare organizations can deploy the EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management platform to accelerate patient care decision making and compliance with government regulations. This one-hour seminar will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.
Many healthcare organizations, including hospitals, medical colleges and research institutes use the Documentum Enterprise Content Management platform to create, capture, manage, deliver and publish large volumes of unstructured content in a single, scalable repository. The Documentum platform and solutions from EMC healthcare partners can help organizations to consolidate and relate patient records with other critical documents, such as scanned medical documents and diagnostic images, enabling organizations to comply with insurance, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other governmental regulations. This seminar will discuss how the Documentum platform helps healthcare organizations to:
* Collaborate on diagnoses and increase the quality of patient care decision making through rapid secure web-based access to all records.
* Relate and manage patient records from a variety of sources, including regulatory agencies, Picture Archiving Communications Systems (PACS), extranets, intranets and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).
* Reduce costs associated with manual processing and with HIPAA compliance by automatically tracking and archiving patient related content while ensuring the privacy and security of all information.
