The trade academy Constance has successfully been using add.min, the multi-functional content management system of K&K Internet Ltd., for a few years to administer its website.
Of late the trade academy Constance uses WordCreator of K&K Internet Ltd. WordCreator makes it possible to print information on the courses from their courses-database, also created by K&K Internet Ltd., as a Word document.
Print data from a database as a Word document
The trade academy Constance has successfully been administering their range of offered courses via a courses-database.
On their website (www.gewerbe-ga.de) there is a special search function, which makes it possible for the user to find courses belonging to a selected category and display them as a list on the website. Moreover, the user can retrieve detailed information on every offered course.
Via WordCreator it is now possible to prepare these data in a compact and user-friendly way and print them as a Word document, which guarantees an optimized presentation:
With only a single click the selected data will be transferred into a Word document, which is downloaded at the same time. It can then be printed out.
The underlying technique causes that data from the database are prepared as XML and sent to the WordCreator together with a pre-defined XSL-Template. All this happens automatically in the background.
The XSL-Template and therefore the Word document generated on the basis of this template can be individually formatted as demanded.
WordCreator can process data of whatever database and generate a Word document from them. It can be triggered and used from whatever application.
