Following a record quarter, PIRONET NDH continues to show dynamic growth. According to the half-yearly report released today, in the second quarter of the current financial year the company recorded the highest quarterly turnover figure in its history with sales of EUR 8.8 million. By the end of June 2004, PIRONET NDH's turnover had reached a total of EUR 14.6 million, some 49 % higher than in the same period last year (EUR 9.8 million).

EBIT rose even more sharply, up from EUR 0.05 million to EUR 0.6 million. This is all the more encouraging in that the datacenter taken over in Autumn 2003 has reached the break-even threshold in the current 3rd quarter and is set to move into the black in the 4th quarter. Including the financial results of EUR 0.2 million, this produced pre-tax earnings of EUR 0.8 million, a rise of around 38 % compared with the previous year (EUR 0.58 million). The company's extensive product range, specific sector focus and the new subsidiaries have all met with an encouraging response in the market. This is again reflected in the level of orders on hand, with a total current volume of EUR 46 million or some 5.8 times higher than at the end of June 2003.

Despite continued underlying difficulties in the IT sector, PIRONET NDH expects this dynamic growth to continue in the second half of the year, with turnover and profits set to outstrip the levels of the first six months. The company has therefore raised its turnover forecast from EUR 28 million to at least EUR 30 million and remains confident that the profits trend will more than match the rise in turnover.
