Web Update Builder 3.0 Keeps Content Management on the Easy Side

XemiComputers (http://www.xemico.com/) launched a new version of its Web Update Builder, Windows software that makes updating web pages straightforward even for inexperienced users. In addition to working with text, links and email addresses, the program now supports updating images as well.

The concept of the program is quite simple. Web designers just have to add special WUB HTML tags to mark editable areas on web pages. This can be done with any text or specialized HTML code editor or using tag extension (provided with the program) for Dreamweaver. The next step is setting some project specific parameters in Web Update Builder, like username and password for FTP access to the project's location, and then the software client is ready to get in action.

What the end user gets after starting the client is a list of pages available for changing and simple textboxes for typing in new text or options to select new images. The system can also manage object groups (add, duplicate, delete) and allow editing contents in tables, lists and similar structures. Web Update Builder is available directly from the manufacturer's website, allows 42 days for free evaluation and costs $199 USD for an unlimited number of projects and end-users.
