Kintera(R) Inc. now offers a software extension for Macromedia(R) Dreamweaver(R) MX 2004, which allows web professionals to develop for the Kintera Sphere(TM) platform within a popular and familiar development environment. With Kintera's new offering, web designers and developers can use Dreamweaver as a code editor to create and manage their own custom templates, and then easily upload these templates into Kintera Sphere's content management system (CMS). Kintera provides software as a service to more than 8,800 accounts in the nonprofit sector.

Web developers using Dreamweaver can now leverage the full power of Kintera's robust CMS technology. The new Dreamweaver extension generates Kintera-specific tags, giving web professionals a way to quickly code dynamic custom templates to provide consistent properties and style across their Kintera Sphere-powered website.

"Building the Fuerza Latina website (www.fuerzalatina.net) using the Dreamweaver tags and Kintera Sphere was a piece of cake," said Neil C. Fennessey, chief operating officer of Four Mangos, Inc., which recently developed the nonprofit website using Kintera Sphere with the Dreamweaver extension. The Boston-based marketing and technology company works with a growing number of nonprofits and other organizations throughout the U.S. "Anyone who has experience with Dreamweaver will definitely find the tags both functional and powerful."

Added Mario Velasquez, executive director of Fuerza Latina, a nonprofit organization empowering young Latinos to get involved in their communities and vote, "Our website features the tools and empowerment I need to establish a dialogue with the young Latino community to encourage them to participate in American politics and the American dream. It's exciting to see the potential of Kintera's technology with the easy-to-use Dreamweaver extension."

"Dreamweaver is the industry standard for professional web developers," said Kintera's executive vice president of engineering, Jeane Chen. "The integration of Kintera Sphere with Dreamweaver empowers thousands of professional developers to affordably build websites for nonprofits with minimal effort and expenditure. Kintera is committed to helping our nonprofit clients streamline processes and reduce expenses."
