Hyper.Net R4.6 Multiplatform Released

Hyper.Net updated to provide numerous new functions, improved Microsoft SharePoint integration and tight native integration with Java, IBM Websphere Portal Server, IBM DB/2 and Lotus Domino 6.51
Coextant Systems today announced the availability of Hyper.Net R4.6 international version, the newest release of its Enterprise Content Integration and Transformation technology.
Hyper.Net enables organizations to tie authoring tools and content stores to relational databases and portals without direct integration, making it possible to automatically populate consumer-optimized web sites and employee portals with document-based content. Hyper.Net’s primary power is derived from transforming Microsoft Office and other documents stored in document managers into XML-based relational data released in Microsoft SQL, IBM DB/2 or Domino databases.
The new release includes native content integration and transformation support for the IBM product line, a new XML parser for Microsoft Office 2003 and a large number of new and enhanced features. The native support for IBM Websphere Portal Server, J2EE, IBM DB/2 and Lotus Domino 6.51 allows customers to leverage the full power of these technologies to create full-featured solutions with decreased cost and time-to-completion. The new XML parser creates a foundation for building advanced XML-driven solutions and opens Hyper.Net to future development possibilities. The new and enhanced features enable e-business applications to create a robust interactive experience for content consumers.
“Hyper.Net 4.6 is a significant milestone for Coextant and its customers because it completes Hyper.Net’s multiplatform support across the technologies companies use most,” states Coextant Systems CEO Paul Caspers. Customers are now able to use a single product to integrate content from various sources with Portals and Web solutions created with varying technologies. This version of Hyper.Net also allows customers to leverage varied skills and technologies to secure an impressively fast Return On Investment.”
Recent projects implemented with a pre-release version of Hyper.Net 4.6 include integrations with Microsoft Content Management Server and SharePoint, Lotus Workplace WCMS, Domino Document Manager, SAP Portal and multiple enterprise Websphere Portal solutions. A multilingual Web site project at Rieter Management AG - recently ranked as the best Internet Web site of 2004 in Switzerland - illustrates Hyper.Net’s fit in the area of content-intensive global Internet Web site deployments.
