Content Management Europe 2004 will be held from 30 November – 2 December 2004 in the Grand Hall at Olympia, London and will run alongside the Online Information exhibition and conference. Online Information is in its 28th year and is the world's no.1 event for information content solutions. Content Management Europe was launched alongside in 2003 in response to the growing market for information management solutions.
These exhibitions bring together hundreds of companies exhibiting the world’s best solutions for information management, knowledge exchange, epublishing, content management, enterprise search, enterprise document and records management, intranets and extranets, together with information resources. The show attracts over 11,000 international information managers, knowledge managers, records managers, content managers, librarians, IT professionals, academics, publishers and information users.

NEW FEATURES
This year’s event includes three new feature areas: Enterprise Document & Records Management Europe, e-Publishing Solutions and Enterprise Search Solutions as well as a FREE showfloor seminar programme.
Enterprise Document & Records Management (EDRM) is a new feature at the event which spotlights compliance and records management issues. EDRM comprises an exhibition showcasing the leading suppliers of document, records, content and workflow management products.
Enterprise Search Solutions addresses the challenges of turning large data resources into usable information and highlighting the solutions and methodologies for searching, finding and extracting value from departmental and enterprise-wide information.
At ePublishing Solutions, providers of electronic publishing solutions and services will meet seasoned epublishing professionals as well as traditional publishers seeking to migrate to digital channels.
FREE SHOWFLOOR SEMINAR PROGRAMME
Google, HM Treasury, Orange, KPMG, Library of Congress, Bank of England, Independent News & Media and Fast Search & Transfer are among the expert line-up speaking about their information management in the free show floor seminar programme. Visitors can keep up to date with the latest industry offerings by attending any of the 110 free show floor seminars run by both independent industry specialists and practitioners.
The Information Management Solutions programme comprises content management seminars; technology case studies; and dedicated full day programmes to complement the newly launched Enterprise Documents and Records Management Europe (EDRM), ePublishing Solutions and Enterprise Search Solutions focus areas. The content management seminars cover a range of topic areas including integrating information into the workflow; linking search to CM; and acquiring and exploiting content management. The EDRM programme considers EDRM’s implications for both the private and public sector in two separate streams; the ePublishing programme examines the evolutions of publishing; and the Enterprise Search Solutions programme will see a top speakers line-up discussing the latest developments in enterprise search.
MANAGING ENTERPRISE CONTENT CONFERENCE
The conference, which runs in parallel to the exhibition, sees leading industry commentators, consultants and professionals, top academics and key vendors exploring the major issues and key trends shaping the industry, and predicting developments for the future. The programme covers three key streams: records management, information architecture and enterprise search.
Managing Enterprise Content highlights the central role information management is now playing in many organisations, driven by new legal and regulatory requirements, massively increased demand for ‘right place right time’ information delivery, and the need to create and manage complex intranets, portals and websites.
Keynote speakers will include Louis Rosenfeld, co-author of "Information Architecture for the World Wide Web," who will talk on trends in information architecture, Graham Smith, Deputy Information Commissioner providing insight into the compliance agenda, and John M Lervik, CEO of Fast Search and Transfer who will talk on trends in enterprise search.
An opening keynote presentation will also be given by ‘founding father of web usability’ and best selling author, Jakob Nielsen, who will give expert insight into how to ensure your website or intranet is easy to use. Representatives from organisations such as BBC New Media, Linklaters, Ovum, The National Archives, BT, the United Nations, and the Library of Congress will also gather to share their knowledge of information management.
