Stellent, Inc., provider of content management solutions, announced Deloitte has ranked it as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program honors North American companies that have achieved the most rapid revenue growth between 1999 and 2003. Stellent was included on the Technology Fast 500 list for the first time in its history, ranking number 450. Additionally, Stellent ranked number 14 on the Deloitte Minnesota Technology Fast 50 list, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in Minnesota. For its most recent fiscal year ended March 31, 2004, Stellent generated $75.8 million in revenues.

"Because the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 measures sustained revenue growth over five years, being one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America is an impressive achievement," said Mark Evans, national managing partner of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group. "Stellent deserves a lot of credit for its remarkable growth."

"We are privileged to be included on this distinguished list for the first time," said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "Stellent's commitment to driving rapid success and return-on-investment for customers has translated into continued revenue growth for our company. We look forward to leveraging this growth to further benefit our employees, shareholders, customers and partners in the years to come."

Fast 500 companies represent a variety of technology-related industries including life sciences, semiconductors, Internet, software and communications. The 2004 rankings were compiled from Deloitte's 19 regional North America Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500 and public company database research. To qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, companies must have had operating revenue of at least $50,000 USD in 1999 and $1 million USD in 2003, and must be public or private companies headquartered in North America. In addition, Fast 500 recipients must be "technology companies," which is defined as companies owning proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; and/or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Along with its Deloitte Technology Fast 500 distinction, Stellent also has been honored by a number of leading publications and organizations for its product innovation, market leadership and successful customer implementations. Recent honors include: 2004 WebAward from the Web Marketing Association for its Stellent(R) Universal Content Management multi-site implementation at Genzyme Corp.; "Best of Show Award" from AIIM E-DOC Magazine for its Stellent Universal Content Management solution; International Business Award in the Best New Product or Service category for Stellent Site Studio; "100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management" from KMWorld; and EContent's EContent 100.
