Vasont Systems, a provider of content management software and data services, introduced a new integration between the Vasont® content management system and Microsoft® InfoPath, a forms-based data collection solution. Vasont is a single-source content management system that enables organizations to store their multilingual content for multi-channel delivery. Using the Vasont Universal Integrator extension, this integration enables content from InfoPath to be stored in Vasont's repository for sophisticated reuse and repurposing. Vasont Systems will be demonstrating the integration from booth #315 at the XML 2004 Conference and Exposition in the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Washington, DC, November 16-18, 2004.

InfoPath provides organizations with an efficient way to collect information that they can then standardize, validate, and integrate with an organization's server systems. Vasont's integration with InfoPath enables that same information to be managed and stored in Vasont's repository, allowing the content to be single-sourced, reused, and repurposed. This integration also enables authors to move seamlessly from an unstructured writing environment to XML-structured authoring, allowing users with no markup experience to benefit from XML.

"This integration provides a dynamic forms-driven front end to Vasont in a Microsoft environment," said Richard Schiding, CEO of Vasont Systems. "Thanks to our VUI extension, InfoPath users can take advantage of Vasont's powerful content management functionality, such as version control, workflow capabilities, and advanced link management."

Designed to improve productivity and time-to-market of products, Vasont makes it easy for organizations to manage their multilingual technical documentation, manuals and other publications. The system's comprehensive single-source functionality stores content once, ensuring content accuracy and increasing the efficiency of repurposing content to multiple publications, regardless of media format.

16.11.2004, Vasont Systems
