The Great Lakes Journal became the first online publication in the country to implement Iventa's new Dashboard System.

Iventa, a technology company that has offices in Detroit, New York, Austin and Los Angeles, produced a software program that now enables the Great Lakes Journal web site (http://www.greatlakesjournal.com ) to create, deploy and manage a full-featured web site complete with e-commerce, membership software and subscription management system, marketing campaign management, content management, incentive and loyalty systems, e-mail delivery and tracking, surveys, polls, message boards and a complete Customer Resource Management (CRM) system for automating its customer service.

While the majority of the Great Lakes Journal's web site retains its widely popular easy-to-read format, many of the changes were designed to create a more "reader-friendly" destination on the Internet. Visitors can now review previous issues through the site's new archive section. The two-year old online publication's web site also provides easy to find links to print articles and the ability to send this information to colleagues, family or friends.

The articles section is not the only area that is more user-friendly. The events calendar has a capacity to include events from around the entire country. It also features a link that will provide a map to the location of the event and will place a reminder in your Microsoft Outlook folder!

"I am extremely pleased with Iventa's Dashboard System," said Great Lakes Journal CEO Mark Powers. "The time that we are saving alone by using this software will allow us the opportunity to take the Great Lakes Journal to an even higher level.

"Our subscribers have already given us several compliments on the changes. The site even has several new features which benefit our advertisers, including a new and improved method for tracking all of our advertising links that will allow us to retrieve these numbers throughout the day in real time!"
