(Short for Customer Relationship Management) CRM describes the modern understanding of the vendor-client relationship as a partnership. Because of the change from a seller's to a buyer's market in many branches of business, many goods are no longer only sold to, but rather, are often actively bought from the customer. CRM attempts to optimize the usefullness of the relationship for all parties.
