Extranet

An extranet is a closed computer network using the principles of internet technology in which registered users can request specific information after logging in. Unlike intranets, extranets are also accessible from outside but, as opposed to the public internet, may only be accessed by registered users. Because of this, a commonly used form of the extranet is the closed information website on a public webserver. This is often used for B2B communication. See-Intranet.
